Unlike passive cat eyes that only reflect vehicle headlights, solar road studs actively emit LED light, making them visible from significantly greater distances and in conditions where passive reflection may be insufficient, including heavy rain, fog, and road sections where approaching headlights are not yet aligned with the road studs.
